building bridges toward a sustainable future
Here's a little bit about me.
I was born in two very different cultures, with my parents being from opposite sides of the world -- the bustling citylife of Hong Kong and the old, quiet hills of West Virginia.
Born and raised in Central Florida, free from the mandates of any particular culture, my sister and I, and our cousins (also "Wasian," as the kids say these days) were able to deeply connect with each other and with nature.
I was also known as the artist in the family, so of course I chose to attend the U.S. Naval Academy to pursue a career in (military) leadership and service.
I'd also describe myself as a spiritual person, pursuing higher truths and levels of consciousness, all the while marching and conforming and ordering people around.
I was also terrified of public speaking when I was younger, so yes, you guessed it, being a military officer, a lawyer, and later -- leading organizations, advising government entities, advocating publicly, and running for office -- totally made sense.
I can also comfortably speak across political divides. It's weird, yes, and it takes an agreement of basic civility from all parties, but focusing on basic needs and shared values really does the trick.
It dawned on me at some point that one's life patterns, if you step back and cross your eyes a little, start forming to show one's life purpose. For me, it's the ability to bridge divides, driven by my deep connections with and love for each other, nature, and humanity in general, toward better days for all.
I have been volunteering my time toward this end since retiring from the US Marine Corps in 2014. I figured it was only fair to give back to the people after having a career and retirement funded by their tax money.

My first professional job through this LLC will be in service to the Oregon Coalition for an Environmental Rights Amendment (OCERA), www.OCERAunited.org, a very worthy effort, and I look forward to providing additional services as time allows.
